Three PI procedures chosen by the CAA as Best Practices
The CAA gathered ‘exemplary’ Quality Assurance practices for various activities from UAE-wide licensed institutes. These practices were analyzed and reviewed by a team of QA experts and ‘novel’ and commendable approaches are selected to be published on the CAA website to inspire other institutions. IRA gathered PI wide practices and submitted to the CAA in February 2011. Out of eight PI submissions following three practices are selected by the CAA:
1- Robert Craig and David Dalton: Embedding best practice into course design.

“The focus on students individually and in teams, entering into a collaboration with their teachers actively to essentially negotiate what it means for them to have developed the course competencies, is really admirable. The interactive approach makes providing formative feedback a very natural (and of course worthwhile) feature of the learning/teaching process”.

3- Sandra Vega and Ahmad Hassan: Participation In Educational Students Programs Organized By Professional Associations

“Enriching the student experience beyond the classroom, and providing real opportunities for engagement, based on current learning, is a laudable aim. This project achieves this through participation in a selective, relevant and worthwhile programme of external educational events, complementing and extending the student learning experience”.
