04/Oct/2011: Students in the Advanced University Placement (AUP) Department at the Petroleum Institute visited Masdar City in Abu Dhabi on October 4. More

 
 
  04/Sep/2011: September 4th is the first day of classes for the 2011-12 academic year. An impressive 295 male students and 78 female students have enrolled at the PI during the previous three weeks. More  
 
  07/Mar/2011: Graeme Ward, AUP Mathematics, completed his Doctorate in Mathematics Education from Curtin University, Australia. More  
 
  22/Feb/2011: Lauded by the evaluators during the recent ABET mock site visit for its high academic standards and dedicated faculty, the PI’s AUP Department is gathering in both prestige and visibility. More  

 

  13/Feb/2011: Mara Barrow from AUP English has been put in charge of a new project to improve the environment in Zarkuh. More  

 

 

17/Jan/11: Asli Hassan, AUP English, has completed her Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her dissertation was based on a collaborative research involving faculty and students across AUP disciplines. More

 
 
 

07/Dec/09: Janet Olearski, AUP Learning Enhancement Coordinator, is the author of a new children’s book entitled Mr Football, which was published this month by Helbling Languages in their ‘Original Fiction’ series. (ISBN 978-3-85272-159-0)

 
     
 
 

26/Jul/09: A new story entitled ‘Swimmers’, by Janet Olearski, Learning Enhancement Coordinator, appears in the latest issue of the London-based literary magazine Pen Pusher (Issue 13, Summer/Autumn 2009).
