MISSION & OBJECTIVES
The mission of the Petroleum Institute Advanced University Placement (AUP) department is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and proficiency in English required to be a successful student at a world class engineering university.
Its objectives are to:
- Provide an engaging and challenging program
- Develop English Language proficiency
- Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Develop communication and study skills
The AUP department provides students with a stimulation curriculum and learning environment including TOEFL, listening, structure, reading, writing and speaking materials. In addition, the Independent Learning Center (ILC) is available for students to practice and improve their skills outside of the classroom. A highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and staff are available to support students at all times.
