FACILITIES AT THE HOSTELS
The hostels provide free catering services for the students throughout the week. Special meals that cater to specific dietary requirements (in case of illnesses) are provided on request. Besides, the hostel residents can make suggestions for the menu.
The hostels provide free laundry and other housekeeping services. As part of the Hostel maintenance procedures, hostel cleaning and pest control measures are carried out on a regular basis.
To meet the recreational needs of the students, PI provides a playground and a gymnasium. The Recreation department organizes sports and related activities regularly for the hostel residents.
The hostel students have access to a Clinic that functions 24 hours a day.
The Housing section is responsible for providing students transportation (free of charge) every week between the PI and the Northern Emirates. Besides, transportation is also provided to students staying in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs.
Hostel students will soon have access to the Internet. The technical studies have been completed and work will begin immediately.
As part of the orientation programs conducted for new students on joining the Housing, students are provided information booklets about hostel regulations. Besides, students can have access to information about housing regulations through regular interaction with the Housing Assistants. Student surveys are conducted regarding the quality of the hostel facilities in terms of catering, cleanliness and maintenance. Hostel details and regulations will be a part of the PI web site.
The PI does not undertake to provide accommodation assistance outside the PI Hostels and does not make arrangements for home stay operations.
